Files can be stored, accessed, downloaded, and shared using the new Files feature in UCare. Whether you are storing documents, chord chart PDFs, MP3 audio files, or MP4 videos, you now have the flexibility to access what you need when you need it. These files can be linked to Services and shared with the People they need to be shared with.
To add a new file, click + New and select File.
Choose from one of the three default file Types (File, Media, or Song) or add custom file Types to filter your Files by category. Select or add Tags to your files to make them easy to find. As always, you can restrict access to the File based on security area access.
To upload a file, click the cloud icon or drag and drop.
Browse Files
To view stored files, click Files on the left-hand navbar.
Files will list by upload date, with the most recent uploads at the top of the page. File Type and any Tags will appear to the right of the file name. Use the Filter option in the top right to view the files list by Type or Security Area.
To download or edit the file, click the file name and select Download or click Edit File to change the file Type, re-upload the file, change a Tag, or Restrict access to the file.
Share Files
Whether worship team chord charts and song MP3s to weekly news updates, announcements, welcome videos, and even sermon notes, you can attach files to Services.
To attach a file to a Service, open the Service plan to which you would like to add a file, click the relevant segment title, and select + Attach file.
You can search for the file name and filter the search by file type or security area. The most recent uploads will appear as suggestions at the bottom, with the file type and tags displayed to the right of each file name.
Once the relevant file has been located, click it, and it will appear under the Attachments heading from where it can be viewed and downloaded.
Once saved, a paperclip icon appears next to the Service item title so everyone can quickly see which items have attachments.
