At the top right of the payments page, tap the Share giving form button.
The Giving or Pledge form can be added to your website or church app or emailed so that people’s payments or pledges are recorded directly in UCare. Giving statements or follow-up emails can then be sent at the end of the financial year.
Note: As the giving form will collect card or bank account information, it is recommended that the page on which the giving form is displayed using HTTPS. While UCare always uses HTTPS, people visiting your webpage will not see this if the form is embedded on your website. Securing the page on your website where the giving form is displayed will give the user more confidence to enter their credit card.
Tip: To enable contactless giving, print the QR Code and place it around your church and on the backs of chairs. People can scan the code with their phones and donate. If people have given previously, they can quickly sign in to autofill the form, enter an amount, and select a previously used payment method.
Options
At the top of the page, you can select which form you want to share, the Giving or Pledge form.
If you have multiple payment services configured, you can select which service to use for processing payments.
The Donation/Pledge options field allows you to specify the funds people can choose to donate to. In this example, you can see that General and Miracle Offering funds have been selected. If only one fund is specified, it will be applied to all donations received with this form link or embed code.
The Default payment/pledge amount allows you to optionally specify the amount pre-filled on the form. This can be handy if you email a link to the form to pay for a specific item with a set price.
You can have a title displayed above the form by entering it in the Page title field, and you can use the Button text field to change the default text from Give or Pledge to something more appropriate.
Email and Facebook
The Email and Facebook link allow you to share a link to the payment form quickly; this can also be sent via SMS. When using the link option, it is recommended that you add a Page title so that people know what the payment form is for when they open the link.
Web & App
The web code can be added to your website to integrate the payment form with its design. This way, UCare will process the payment without taking people away from your website.
The JavaScript version is a little more sophisticated, as it will automatically adjust the height of the form as needed. On the other hand, the Iframe version may display scroll bars if the form is taller than the Iframe. We recommend the Javascript code, but some website creation tools will not allow you to use JavaScript; if this is the case, use the Iframe version.
Note: Depending on the service you use to build your church app, you will likely need to use the Email link or Javascript code options to embed a payment form in your church app.
Advanced
While the payment form’s design is consistent with the rest of UCare, it may not match the colors and fonts used on your website. If so, a custom CSS file can be specified to alter the form’s design; you will need someone with CSS skills to create a customized design.
Tip: You can upload the CSS file to a service like Dropbox. UCare does not hotlink the CSS file; instead, it downloads a copy every five minutes. This makes it easy for you to edit the CSS design, and the changes will be reflected in the payment form within five minutes.
