Use Forms to collect event registration information, and Automations to add registrants or ticket holders to the right process step. You can configure these from the event instead of editing each ticket type separately.
Before you begin
Create the Form you want people to complete and, if needed, the Process and steps that should follow registration. Event Forms and Automations require event-edit access; exporting responses requires event-export access.
See Add a form to create questions and choose what their answers save.
Choose who completes each Form
- Open the event and select Forms.
- Select Add form and choose the Form.
- Under Collect for, set the choice for Booking and each relevant ticket type:
- Required collects the Form before registration can finish.
- Optional makes the Form available after registration.
- No does not collect the Form for that booking or ticket type.
- Save the event Form settings.
Use Booking for information about the person registering. Use a ticket type for information associated with the person holding that ticket. Avoid collecting the same information in both places unless you need separate answers.
What registrants see
After choosing tickets, registrants enter their email. For a recognized email, UCare sends a verification code before reusing existing details. Someone already signed in can skip this step.
Required Forms appear during registration. The registrant completes each one before continuing. Where existing profile information is available, it can populate supported linked questions. The registrant should review that information before submitting.
Add people to a Process
- Open the event’s Automations tab.
- Select Add automation and choose the Process.
- Choose the Process step for Booking and for each applicable ticket type.
- Leave Don’t add selected where the automation should not apply.
- Save the automation.
The Booking option applies to the registrant; a ticket-type option applies to its ticket holder.
Review completed and missing responses
Open a booking and select Form responses. The list groups forms by booking and ticket type, shows which were required, and indicates whether a response has been received. Open the response link to review its answers.
To export responses for an event, open Reports, choose Export form responses, and select the Form. This keeps an event’s responses together, even if you reuse the same Form for other events.
Test the registration before sharing it
Complete a registration using fictional information. Try ticket types with different Forms or Automations, check that required Forms prevent incomplete registrations, and review the resulting responses and Process steps.
